As I make this entry, my wife Jamie and I are preparing to catch a flight to Jacksonville, Florida to spend New Year's weekend with her sisters and our brother-in-law. Being one of those fortunate lads who was graced with fantastic "in-laws," I'm very much looking forward to this trip. One highlight will be attending the Titans vs. Jaguars game on New Year's Day. There's nothing like pulling for my Tennessee boys on someone else's turf. (I LOVE IT!) And yes, I know my Titans have won far fewer games than they've lost this year... What of it? True fans are loyal, right? Speaking of loyal fans, are you by any chance one of P.O.D.'s "Warriors"? If you are, you'll be pleased to know the band has just been confirmed to headline the Jimmy Kimmel Show's New Year's Eve bash in Times Square tomorrow night. According to P.O.D.'s management, "nearly one million people will experience P.O.D. live, performing on top of an undisclosed building in Times Square... P.O.D. are expected to perform their singles, 'Goodbye For Now,' 'Boom,' and 'Alive.' The performance will be also shown on video screens throughout Times Square, including the big screen in the middle of the square." For those of us who can't be in New York City tomorrow night--um, that'd be most of us--we can catch clips from the event on Jimmy Kimmel's Jan. 3rd broadcast. And hey, if you're one of the lucky few who can attend in person, then by all means, shoot me an email and tell me how it went. (I'm at jay@ccmmagazine.com.) Meanwhile, we can look forward to the release of P.O.D.'s new album, TESTIFY, on Jan. 24.
