But today? This is special. This time around I'm wishing more than ever that I was a member of NARAS so I could vote in this particular Grammy Awards. (Apparently, the folks at the Recording Academy insist that to become a member, you have to have done more than executive produce a Love Coma album, clap on a Sarah Masen recording and sing background on Newsong's Bob Briner tribute song. Go figure... Hah!)

So, why is THIS Grammy ballot so significant? Because, after several years of speculation, Charlie Peacock has finally recorded and released his exceptional mainstream jazz album, LOVE PRESS EX-CURIO. And guess what? That baby appears in four categories of the current Grammy ballot.

Though I can't vote, I can do my enthusiastic part by spreading the word to make sure as many NARAS members as possible are especially aware of Charlie Peacock's 1st round nominations.
